Ticketing System
ADDING PRINTERS (Windows OS):
Step 1:
Make sure you are connected to sdsm-secure WiFi or an active ethernet cable
Step 2:
Click the Windows icon or the Windows search bar in the bottom left of your screen
Step 3:
Start typing the server name ( \\sdsmprnt-01) and press enter on your keyboard. Please remember to type the entire name INCLUDING the \\
Step 4:
Double-click on the name of the printer you want to install
ADDING PRINTERS (Mac OS):
Step 1:
Determine the IP address of the printer (if help is needed to complete this step, please reach out via an IT ticket.)
Step 2:
Click the system preferences
Step 3: Click printers and scanners
Step 4: Click the plus button
Step 5: Click the IP button on the top of the window
Step 6: Enter in the IP address in the Address field
Step 6: Enter in the name of the printer to easily identity
The driver may autopopulate but if not click Use, Select Software and select the make/model of the printer you're adding)
Step 7: Click add
